The Juntos Delaware Fellowship is an experience designed to prepare Latinos (parents, educators, community leaders, and Latino serving organizations, etc.) with knowledge of advocacy and education policy. This program is a launching pad for those who want to amplify their voices –and the voices of others in their community– to create an equitable and excellent education system. The fellows should have a desire and interest in transforming their community and never accept an education system that fails to allow so many students, especially Latino and English-Language learners, to reach their limitless potential.

During the weekly sessions, participants will get in-depth exposure to and knowledge of:

• Historic Hispanic social movements
• Delaware education policy
• How to design effective advocacy campaigns
• Practice using various advocacy tactics
• Meet key policymakers and leaders
• Build relationships with a cohort of like-minded change-makers
