On June 16, 2018, The Delaware News Journal published an article by Jessica Bies on the Youth Advocacy Council and its original report, “REPRESENTED: A Student-Led Agenda for Increasing Teacher Diversity.” The article referenced DelawareCAN and quoted its executive director, Atnre Alleyne: 

“Diversity and representation make all the difference in education because our kids learn more than concept in the classroom — it’s where they learn about themselves and the world, including the rich array of cultures, perspectives and stories that our diverse teachers harness,” said DelawareCAN Executive Director Atnre Alleyne in a statement.
