Former Delaware Legislator, (Chair, House education committee)

Darryl served in the Delaware General Assembly from 2008–2014 as the 31st District State Representative. During his tenure in the Legislature he advocated for public education and access to higher education for Delaware students. One of his most significant legislative accomplishments was the creation of the Inspire Scholarship program which provides Delaware students tuition assistance to attend Delaware State University for up to six semesters. Prior to joining the legislature, Darryl served three and a half years on the Capital School District Board of Education.

Darryl’s service on the DelawareCAN: The Delaware Campaign for Achievement Now (DelawareCAN) advisory board began in 2016. In addition to his service to DelawareCAN, Darryl serves on the board of directors for Reading Assist Institute and the Rodel Foundation Advisory Council. Darryl has degrees in economics and marketing from Eastern Kentucky University. He is employed as a director of global account management at Sitel. Darryl and his wife Carol live in Dover and have two sons.
